Marine Le Pen tops every opponent in French presidential runoff poll

A Toluna‑Harris Interactive poll for M6 and RTL, conducted May 27 with 1,744 respondents, shows Marine Le Pen, the National Rally leader, leading all major rivals in a hypothetical second‑round presidential runoff. She would beat far‑left candidate Jean‑Luc Mélenchon 67% to 33%, former Prime Minister Gabriel Attal 54% to 46% and former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe 52% to 48%.

Le Pen is currently barred from running due to a five‑year ban from public office, but she has appealed and a ruling is expected on July 7. Should the ban stand, National Rally president Jordan Bardella is likely to become the party’s candidate and is also leading early first‑round polls. Both candidates have pledged a referendum on mass immigration if elected, underscoring the National Rally’s growing position in French politics.
