Maritime Drone Explodes at Constanta Port in Romania, No Casualties

A Ukrainian naval maritime drone self‑detonated at 10:30 a.m. (07:30 GMT) on 5 June 2026 in Romania’s Constanta Black Sea port. The explosion occurred while authorities were examining the device on dock 78; the area was evacuated and no injuries were reported. Romanian Interior Minister Raed Arafat confirmed the detonation and the deployment of helicopters to scan the coastline for additional devices.

Ukraine said the unmanned surface vessel was knocked off course by Russian electronic‑warfare systems, ending up near the Romanian coast.
