Mark Asea arrested for allegedly exposing private data on TikTok
Mark Asea, a 36-year-old man who identifies as a “cybersecurity engineer,” “demonologist,” and “Grey Hat Hacker,” has been arrested in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on charges of an offense against computer users.
Authorities reopened the investigation after previous stalking and computer-related charges were dropped in May. Asea is accused of gaining unauthorized access to the electronic devices of two women. One victim reported that Asea uploaded over 100 TikTok videos containing her private data, including passwords, banking information, license plate numbers, and her current location.
A second woman alleged that Asea gained remote access to her computer under the guise of fixing an application, after which he reportedly claimed to have installed a virus. She also noted that a private message from Telegram appeared in one of his TikTok posts. Asea was held on a $35,000 bond and is scheduled for arraignment on November 19.
