Marl nursing homes receive top ratings in Focus-Gesundheit report

Three nursing homes in Marl, Germany, have received the highest possible rating, ‘Top’, in the first-ever recommendation list published by Focus-Gesundheit.

The rating system, developed in collaboration with the research institute FactField, evaluates facilities based on several key metrics. The ‘Care Score’ assesses the quality of nursing, facility equipment, and the qualifications and continuity of staff. The ‘Service Score’ includes factors such as catering quality and leisure activities, while the ‘Reputation Score’ incorporates existing Google reviews.

This new initiative aims to provide greater transparency and guidance for families and individuals facing the difficult decision of selecting a residential care facility. Across Germany, a total of 3,600 nursing homes were recognized in this inaugural ranking.
