Luzu TV faces legal claims from Florencia Peña and Marley over fake Messi news

Luzu TV, an Argentine streaming platform, cancelled the program “El Show del Verano” after presenter Florencia Peña announced a false report that Jorge Messi, father of footballer Lionel Messi, had died. The misinformation sparked a controversy that has escalated into a legal dispute.

Both Florencia Peña and fellow presenter Marley are reportedly preparing lawsuits against Luzu TV owner Nico Occhiato. They aim to recover the full value of their contracts and additional compensation for the premature termination of the show. Legal counsel Fernando Burlando has detailed the possible claims, which could involve up to 200 million Argentine pesos in damages.

Marley has publicly said, “without Flor, there is no Show del Verano,” and indicated he will meet Occhiato in Miami to discuss the matter. No official statements have been released by the parties involved, and the dispute remains unresolved.
