In Itatiba, the Limeira team earned its first medal of the Games, a bronze in the men’s kata team event in karate, with athletes Aroldo Soares, Kauan Guedes and Pedro Ricci under coach Marília Struzziatto. The same delegation placed fifth in kumite and fielded about 350 participants across sports, also recording a dominant 11‑0 win in women’s futsal and a victory in beach volleyball. Both municipalities expressed pride in the early results and look to continue competing through the remaining events.
