Marmaris (Muğla) Moves 1.25 km Water Pipe to Public Land

The Muğla Metropolitan Municipality’s Water and Wastewater Directorate (MUSKİ) is relocating a 1,250‑metre section of drinking‑water pipe that ran through private property in the Osmaniye neighbourhood of Marmaris. The pipeline will be shifted to the roadside/public right‑of‑way to ease maintenance, reduce leaks and enable quicker repairs.

The work follows mayor Ahmet Aras’s directive to ensure uninterrupted water service across the province. Local neighbourhood head Mehmet Yücel said the former routing caused frequent intervention difficulties and damage to agricultural plots. Completion is expected to create a more sustainable water‑distribution network and improve response to faults.
