Marmaris Seafood Festival celebrates regional culture and gastronomy

The second annual Marmaris Seafood Festival is currently underway in the Marmaris district, featuring cultural and gastronomic events in the neighborhoods of Selimiye and Taşlıca.

In Selimiye, the festival includes live cooking demonstrations by local and international chefs, such as Croatia’s Dada Margiç, alongside musical performances from the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality City Orchestra and various folk dance groups. The event aims to highlight the region's maritime richness and culinary heritage.

The festival also visited the rural neighborhood of Taşlıca, where a Local Market Day showcased regional products including keşkek, karakılçık wheat bread, olives, olive oil, honey, and handmade donkey milk soap. Local residents and visitors participated in traditional folk dances and music performances to celebrate the area's unique cultural values.
