Maroš Kramár addresses public backlash over son's driving accident
Actor Maroš Kramár has addressed public criticism regarding a driving accident involving his son, Marko. In February, the 17-year-old drove while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 1.27 per mille, causing an accident on the Senec highway without a valid driver's license.
Kramár stated that his son will face consequences, including a 1.5-year driving ban and financial penalties for the vehicle damage. While acknowledging the severity of the incident, Kramár defended his parenting, noting that children raised in the same environment can take vastly different paths. He expressed hope that the incident serves as a lesson for other young people.
The incident has sparked political friction. Former MP György Gyimesi criticized Kramár, sarcastically suggesting that the actor should have applied the same level of effort to his son's upbringing as he does to his political commentary. Gyimesi also addressed Kramár's recent criticisms of the Slovak political system and his suggestions regarding testing elected officials.
