Marriott and Catalonia to open all‑inclusive resorts in Jamaica and Tanzania

Marriott International and Catalonia Hotels & Resorts have signed an agreement to develop two new all‑inclusive resorts. The first will be a 522‑room Marriott Hotels property in Montego Bay, Jamaica, featuring 13 restaurants, three pools, a spa, fitness centre, tennis and pickleball courts, a lazy river and extensive meeting space, slated to open in 2028 after renovation.

The second project is an Autograph Collection resort in Zanzibar, Tanzania, with 271 suites, multiple pools, a spa, theatre, and a waterfront jetty with a marine pool and bar. It will be the first Catalonia‑operated Marriott brand in Africa. The partnership lets Catalonia use Marriott’s brands and loyalty program (Marriott Bonvoy), expanding both companies’ presence in the Caribbean and African tourism markets.
