Marshall and DALI introduce new consumer audio hardware
New audio hardware has been introduced to the consumer market, including the Marshall Acton III speaker and the DALI BASIK SUB subwoofer.
The Marshall Acton III is a 60 W RMS Bluetooth 5.2 speaker featuring a rock-inspired design with physical control knobs for volume, bass, and treble. It utilizes a bass-reflex enclosure and a Dynamic Loudness function to maintain balanced sound across different volumes. The device includes a 3.5 mm AUX input and supports simultaneous connection for two devices.
DALI has released the BASIK SUB, a compact active subwoofer designed to complement small hi-fi systems. It features an 8-inch long-stroke downward-firing driver with a paper membrane, powered by a Class D amplifier providing 170 W RMS (220 W peak). The unit includes adjustable crossover frequencies (40–120 Hz), phase control, and multiple connectivity options including L/R line inputs and a mono LFE input.
