Consumer and professional audio hardware releases

Overview

New consumer and professional audio hardware has been introduced to the market, including products from Marshall, DALI, and d&b audiotechnik.

Marshall released the Acton III, a 60 W RMS Bluetooth 5.2 speaker featuring a rock-inspired design with physical control knobs for volume, bass, and treble. The device utilizes a bass-reflex enclosure and a Dynamic Loudness function, supporting simultaneous connection for two devices and a 3.5 mm AUX input.

DALI announced the BASIK SUB, a compact active subwoofer designed to complement small hi-fi systems and bookshelf loudspeakers. The unit features an 8-inch long-stroke downward-firing driver with a paper membrane and is powered by a Class D amplifier providing 170 W RMS (220 W peak). It includes adjustable crossover frequencies (40–120 Hz), phase control, and multiple connectivity options. The subwoofer is specifically intended to enhance music and film experiences by providing low-frequency depth to models such as the DALI KUPID and SONIK.

Additionally, d&b audiotechnik has released the 5D, a four-channel amplifier designed for permanent installations. The device provides 4x600W of power in a 9.5-inch format and includes an integrated DSP system. It is aimed at decentralized applications, such as conference rooms and houses of worship, offering network control and monitoring capabilities.
