Martin Odegaard Linked with Possible Arsenal Exit This Summer
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is being linked with a move away from the club in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 27‑year‑old Norwegian midfielder finished the last season with just one Premier League goal, around 1,400 minutes played and seven assists, and he struggled to retain a guaranteed starting place after injuries.
Mick Brown told Football Insider that the arrival of Eberechi Eze, signed from Crystal Palace last summer, could push Odegaard down the pecking order. “From what I hear, he could leave,” Brown was quoted as saying, adding that the midfielder might seek a new challenge rather than remain on the bench.
If Arsenal decide to sell, the fee could provide funds for the club to pursue a top‑class striker and other attacking options, addressing a key area identified by manager Mikel Arteta.
