Martin Zubimendi may seek Arsenal transfer in January

Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi may seek a transfer away from the club during the January 2027 window due to limited playing time. Despite being a key figure in the club’s previous Premier League title win, the Spaniard has struggled to secure a spot in the starting lineup this season, recording minimal minutes across recent competitions.

Reports indicate that Zubimendi has fallen behind players such as Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Bruno Guimaraes in the manager's selection preference. While Mikel Arteta has publicly maintained that the player remains important to the squad, Zubimendi's lack of regular involvement has led to speculation regarding his future.

Real Madrid has reportedly maintained contact with the midfielder's camp, following previous interest in the player. Zubimendi joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad in 2025 for a reported £60 million and is currently under contract until June 2030.
