Martin Zubimendi shines for Spain amid Chelsea transfer interest

Martin Zubimendi delivered a standout performance for Spain during their 4-1 Nations League victory over Croatia. Starting in the number six role ahead of captain Rodri, the Arsenal midfielder recorded a 98 percent passing accuracy, completing 65 of 66 attempts, and won all of his duels. Spanish media outlets, including Sport and Mundo Deportivo, praised his ability to provide balance to the midfield and his composure in playing the ball out from the back.

Despite his international success, Zubimendi has faced limited playing time at Arsenal, recently struggling to regain a starting position. This lack of regular minutes has fueled transfer speculation, with reports suggesting Chelsea may consider a £60 million move for the midfielder during the January transfer window. While Chelsea has reportedly identified him as a priority target and made inquiries, Arsenal has not indicated any intention to facilitate his departure in the winter market.
