Martina Franca 5G antenna dispute intensifies

The Tre Tornesi Committee is contesting the procedures used by the Martina Franca administration regarding the re-examination of a 5G mobile telephony plant. The committee alleges that a technical report commissioned by the municipality was completed before citizen observations could be considered, potentially violating the right to defense.

Central to the dispute is the relocation of the infrastructure. While the owner, INWIT, maintains there are no alternative sites, the committee has presented an independent study identifying possible alternative areas. A final decision from the administration is expected on October 12.
