Maruti Suzuki launches 2026 Baleno facelift in India
Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2026 Baleno facelift in India, with introductory prices starting at Rs 6.10 lakh. The update introduces several significant mechanical and technological changes to the premium hatchback.
A major highlight is the replacement of the previous four-cylinder engine with a new 1.2-litre Z-Series three-cylinder petrol engine, producing 82 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. The vehicle is available with five-speed manual or AMT transmissions, and a factory-fitted S-CNG option is also offered.
In terms of safety and technology, the Baleno becomes the first in its segment to feature Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including lane keep assist and automatic emergency braking. Other new features include ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, a wireless charger with active cooling, and a 9-inch infotainment system.
Visually, the facelift features a redesigned front grille with chrome accents, revised bumpers, and new LED fog lamps, while the overall silhouette remains largely unchanged. Following this launch, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is expected to release a similar facelift for the Glanza in October 2026.
