Maruti Suzuki launches 2026 Brezza facelift with new turbo engine in India
Maruti Suzuki unveiled the 2026 facelift of its Brezza compact SUV in India, pricing the entry‑level turbo‑petrol version at ₹7.40 lakh ex‑showroom. The update adds a 1.0‑litre Boosterjet turbo‑petrol engine that delivers 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque, alongside the existing 1.5‑litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a factory‑fitted S‑CNG variant.
The new turbo‑petrol model claims a fuel‑efficiency of 20.47 km per litre, while the NA petrol offers 21.09 km pl and the CNG version 26.9 km per kg. Powertrain choices are paired with a six‑speed manual gearbox, with an automatic option retained for the petrol engine.
Inside, the Brezza receives a 10.1‑inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, head‑up display, ventilated front seats, wireless charging and ambient lighting. Safety upgrades include six airbags, ESC, blind‑spot monitoring, rear‑cross‑traffic alert, hill‑descent control and a five‑star Bharat NCAP rating.
The launch coincides with a company‑wide price hike of up to ₹30,000 due to rising input costs from the West Asia crisis, but the Brezza’s starting price undercuts the entry‑level 1.5‑litre variant by roughly ₹90,000. Maruti Suzuki also announced a target of 900,000 CNG vehicle sales in FY2026‑27, with the Brezza S‑CNG expected to drive the push.
