Maruti Suzuki offers price protection to first‑time car buyers until June 14
Maruti Suzuki announced a price‑protection scheme for its entry‑level small‑car range – Alto K10, S‑Presso, Celerio and WagonR. Customers who book any of these models on or before 14 June 2026 will be locked into the current price and avoid the company’s planned price increase of up to Rs 30,000 slated for June. Senior Executive Partho Banerjee said the move responds to channel‑partner feedback and is intended to keep first‑time buyers from being deterred by higher costs. In parallel, Maruti introduced the “Suhana Safar” recurring‑deposit backed auto‑loan programme, letting buyers save monthly instalments for three to six months and use the accumulated amount as a down‑payment. The scheme has already generated about 8,000 enquiries and more than 1,700 bookings.
