Maruti Suzuki rolls out 2026 Brezza facelift with turbo engine and upgraded features

Maruti Suzuki has opened bookings for the facelift of its best‑selling compact SUV, the Brezza, accepting a token payment of Rs 11,000 online or at authorised showrooms. The updated model is slated to launch in late July 2026 – most reports cite a July 24 debut.

Key changes include a new 1.0‑litre Boosterjet turbo‑petrol engine delivering about 100 hp and 148 Nm, which qualifies the car for the lower 18 % GST sub‑4‑metre tax bracket. A 6‑speed manual (and possibly an automatic) transmission is expected, alongside a retained 1.5‑litre hybrid engine option and a CNG variant with an under‑body tank.

Styling updates feature revised front and rear bumpers, refreshed LED lighting, and new four‑spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin will receive a larger 10.1‑inch infotainment touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting and may incorporate Level‑2 ADAS with front parking sensors. Prices are projected in the Rs 8.3‑13 lakh range, keeping the Brezza competitive against rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV3XO.
