Maruti Suzuki's 2026 Brezza Facelift Earns 5‑Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating Ahead of Launch
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is launching the facelifted 2026 Brezza on 24 July 2026. The model received a 5‑star rating from Bharat NCAP for both Adult Occupant Protection (30.41 / 32) and Child Occupant Protection (43 / 49), covering all variants in the lineup. The tested ZXI+ 1.5‑L petrol automatic scored perfect marks in side‑impact tests and high scores in frontal offset tests, with safety equipment that includes six airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX anchors, pedestrian protection and seat‑belt reminders.
The facelift introduces cosmetic tweaks – a slimmer grille, updated bumpers, new alloy‑wheel designs – and adds premium features such as a 10.1‑inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats and a 360° camera. Power‑train options now include the existing 1.5‑L mild‑hybrid petrol, a CNG variant, and a new 1.0‑L turbo‑petrol engine, all paired with manual or automatic gearboxes. Prices are expected to range from INR 8.49 lakh to INR 13.40 lakh (ex‑showroom).
The safety rating is projected to boost the Brezza’s market position in India’s highly competitive compact‑SUV segment, where consumer awareness of safety is rising.
