Maruti Suzuki rolls out turbo Brezza and previews facelifts for Baleno, Fronx and Grand Vitara

Maruti Suzuki has launched a new version of its Brezza compact SUV equipped with a 998 cc turbo‑charged Boosterjet petrol engine and a six‑speed manual gearbox, reducing the model’s tax bracket under India’s GST system. The update also adds CNG variants with factory‑fitted under‑body tanks, minor exterior tweaks, a refreshed interior with ventilated seats, a PM2.5 filter and a larger infotainment touchscreen.

The automaker also outlined upcoming facelifts for three other models – the Baleno hatchback, the Fronx compact crossover and the Grand Vitara midsize SUV – slated for release by the end of the year. While design changes are modest, each will receive updated grilles, bumpers and lighting elements, as well as new feature packages such as ADAS and larger touchscreens. Additionally, Maruti Suzuki hinted at an electric MPV, codename YMC, expected to launch in the late‑2026 timeframe, sharing its e‑Vitara platform and targeting rivals such as the Kia Carens EV and MG Windsor EV.
