Maruti Suzuki to establish 12 automated driving test tracks in Telangana

Maruti Suzuki India has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Telangana government to establish 12 Automated Driving Test Tracks (ADTTs) across six locations in the state. The project is being implemented under the company’s corporate social responsibility initiative.

The tracks will be located in Ibrahimpatnam, Kondapur, Uppal, Medchal, Nagole, and Karimnagar. These facilities will utilize high-definition cameras, RFID sensors, real-time analytics, and integrated IT systems to conduct computerized driving tests for two-wheelers and light motor vehicles. Heavy motor vehicle testing will be specifically available at the Nagole and Karimnagar locations.

By following the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, the automated system aims to provide objective assessments and reduce human intervention. This expansion brings Maruti Suzuki’s total network of automated driving test facilities to 98 tracks across nine states and two Union Territories in India.
