Maruti Suzuki launches 2026 Baleno facelift in India
Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2026 facelift of its Baleno premium hatchback in India, with prices starting at approximately Rs 6.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The mid-cycle update introduces several significant technological and mechanical upgrades aimed at urban buyers.
A major highlight is the inclusion of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), featuring eight functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and emergency braking. The vehicle also introduces segment-first ventilated front seats, a wireless charger with active cooling, and a Clarion-tuned premium audio system.
Mechanically, the Baleno transitions from its previous four-cylinder engine to a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine, which produces approximately 83 hp and 112 Nm of torque. This engine is available with both a five-speed manual transmission and an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). A factory-fitted CNG variant is also offered, providing a high fuel efficiency of approximately 33.61 km/kg.
Visually, the facelift includes a redesigned NEXWave front grille with 3D patterns, a revised bumper, new 16-inch alloy wheels, and a new Enigmatic Teal color option. The interior features a dual-tone Black and Blue theme with silver highlights and a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system.
