Maruti Suzuki unveils updated Baleno with new engine and ADAS

Maruti Suzuki has released the pricing and specifications for the updated Baleno facelift, a premium hatchback sold through Nexa dealerships. The new lineup features five trim levels—Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, and Alpha (O)—with introductory ex-showroom prices ranging from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh.

A major mechanical update is the introduction of a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated Z-series petrol engine, producing 83PS and 112Nm of torque. This engine is available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. The model also includes two CNG variants, the Delta and Zeta, which utilize a manual transmission.

In terms of technology and safety, the Baleno now includes a Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite, featuring adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and emergency braking. Other notable additions include a 360-degree camera, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, and a head-up display. The exterior design has been refreshed with a new front bumper, sharper headlights, and a new Enigmatic Teal color option.
