Marvel Studios re-releases Avengers: Endgame Encore in theaters

Marvel Studios is re-releasing ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore’ in theaters for a limited two-week engagement starting September 23. This special version includes four minutes of additional footage and serves as a promotional bridge to the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, scheduled for release in December 2026.

The re-release features an exclusive teaser for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, with additional sneak peeks available specifically for viewers watching on IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified screens. The trailer for the ‘Encore’ release has already set a viewership record, garnering 77 million views within its first 24 hours.

Disney is utilizing this release to highlight its new Infinity Vision certification, a branding standard designed to identify theaters equipped with laser projection technology. While the standard aims to provide a consistent high-quality visual experience, some discrepancies regarding screen size requirements for the certification have been noted in certain international markets.
