Marvel Studios re-releases Avengers: Endgame Encore with new footage

Marvel Studios is re-releasing ‘Avengers: Endgame’ under the title ‘Avengers: Endgame Encore,’ scheduled for theatrical release on September 25, 2026. This version is designed as a “narrative bridge” to connect the 2019 film to the upcoming ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’

The re-release includes new footage that was not part of the original theatrical run. Standard screenings will feature approximately two minutes of additional content, while premium formats such as IMAX and the new Disney “Infinity Vision” certification will offer up to five minutes of extra material, including an expanded sneak peek of ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’

Unconfirmed reports and rumors suggest the new footage may include a scene featuring Doctor Doom and the Hulk. The re-release is also seeing significant commercial interest, particularly in India, where advance bookings suggest it could break records for a re-released film. The new version serves as a strategic lead-in to ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ which is slated for release in December 2026.
