Marvel to release Avengers: Endgame Encore with new footage

Walt Disney Company Korea has announced the theatrical re-release of 'Avengers: Endgame' in a new format titled 'Avengers: Endgame Encore' or the 'Infinity Version'. Scheduled for release on September 23, this version is expected to be approximately four minutes longer than the original 2019 release, bringing the total runtime to roughly 185 minutes.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo have stated that this re-release is essential viewing for fans preparing for the upcoming film 'Avengers: Doomsday'. The new footage is intended to serve as a narrative bridge, connecting the events of 'Endgame' to the story of 'Doomsday'. Anthony Russo noted that the additions include surprises that viewers would not have expected when the film first premiered.

The re-release comes amid high anticipation for Robert Downey Jr.'s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he will portray Victor von Doom rather than Tony Stark. Certain screenings may offer exclusive footage through IMAX and Infinity Vision formats.
