Maryam Nawaz emphasizes policy continuity and security

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz addressed participants of the National Command Authority Senior Officer Leadership Course, emphasizing that terrorism has no classification and must be fought regardless of its origin. She stated that national progress is impossible without policy continuity, improved governance, and strengthened institutions.

Addressing security concerns, Nawaz noted that while Punjab has strengthened its security apparatus and seen a significant reduction in crime, internal security remains a priority. She highlighted the importance of maintaining state authority in difficult terrains like the Katcha areas. Regarding regional relations, she remarked that while Afghanistan is a neighboring country with shared religious ties, its territory must not be used against Pakistan.

Nawaz also stressed that effective governance and performance are essential to tackling internal threats and that the armed forces and security agencies are working continuously to protect the nation.
