Maryland restaurants receive national culinary recognition

Two Maryland dining establishments have been recognized in national culinary lists. Angeli’s Pizzeria, a family-owned restaurant in Ellicott City, was named Maryland’s representative in Food & Wine’s “50 States of Award-Winning Pizzerias.” The magazine selected the establishment for its New York-style pizzas and history of national accolades.

In Takoma Park, Cielo Rojo was selected by Mashed as the home of Maryland’s best enchilada. The recognition highlights their Enchilada Tres Moles, which features house-made heirloom corn tortillas and three distinct moles: mole poblano, pipian mole verde, and mole de cacahuate. The restaurant specializes in California-inspired Mexican cuisine.
