Maserati announces new electric SUV and redesigned Quattroporte

Maserati CEO Santo Ficili has announced significant updates to the brand's lineup, including an all-electric successor to the Levante SUV expected to debut in December. Ficili noted that the new model will maintain a distinct identity, differentiating itself from competitors like the Lamborghini Urus and Ferrari Purosangue.

Additionally, the iconic Quattroporte will undergo a radical transformation. Moving away from its traditional sedan format, the new version is expected to feature a design between a shooting brake and a crossover, described by management as a "very low and large" vehicle.

These product developments come amid rumors regarding the brand's future within Stellantis. Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has explicitly denied speculation that Maserati will be sold or that European brands will be separated from American ones, stating that the group intends to maintain its current structure of 14 brands. The company aims to strengthen engineering cooperation between Maserati and Alfa Romeo to optimize investments and development costs.
