Mason Graham emerges as key defensive force for Cleveland Browns
Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Mason Graham is emerging as a key interior force during the early stages of the 2026 NFL season. After a developmental rookie year, the second-year player has recorded eight combined tackles, three tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, and two sacks through the first two weeks of play.
Following a Week 2 performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where Graham recorded a sack and two hits on quarterback Baker Mayfield, Browns head coach Todd Monken noted that the team is built to win matchups through explosive interior players. Defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg praised Graham’s preparation and communication skills, describing him as “unbelievable” in his approach to the game.
As the Browns prepare for a Week 3 matchup against the Panthers, coaching staff have encouraged Graham to use any perceived “disrespect” from opposing teams as motivation to continue his upward trajectory.
