Masoud Pezeshkian calls for ending conflict with US while Iran maintains strength

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that the conflict with the United States should be concluded while Iran maintains its current level of power and prestige. Speaking at the General Assembly of the Islamic Medical Association in Tehran, Pezeshkian emphasized that continuing the war is not an inevitable goal for the country.

He clarified that seeking an end to the conflict does not imply a retreat in the face of potential attacks. Pezeshkian asserted that Iran will not bow to bullying and will continue to stand firm against adversaries. He also noted that war and negotiation are not mutually exclusive alternatives.

Pezeshkian addressed a memorandum signed on June 17, mediated by the United States and Pakistan, which has remained unimplemented due to ongoing disagreements. He described the agreement as ‘honorable and valuable’ for Iran, noting it was approved with unity by the Supreme National Security Council. He maintained that the agreement contains no terms of surrender and that the obligations lie with the opposing side.
