After two days of searching, the K72 team of the Military Command of Đồng Nai City located a collective burial site in Minh Đức commune. The excavation revealed artifacts such as an AK‑47 rifle, six pens (including one with a dove motif and the inscription “Tiến Quy”), two fuel canisters, four pairs of shoes, four teeth and a belt fragment.

Lieutenant Colonel Vũ Văn Thọ, commander of the K72 team, said the area was a strategic battlefield during the anti‑American war, situated near the junction of National Highway 13 at Xa Cát. Major General Trần Chí Tâm inspected the site, offered encouragement to the search team and confirmed that the remains will be exhumed and identified as soon as authorities approve.
