Ubisoft announces The Division 2 expansion Echoes of Central Park

Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have announced several major updates for the long-running action-RPG The Division 2. A significant upcoming premium expansion, titled ‘Echoes of Central Park’, will allow players to explore Central Park in New York City for the first time. The DLC is expected to feature a darker, horror-inspired tone, centered around a mysterious distress call from within the park, which reportedly served as a mass grave during the initial outbreak.

A full reveal of the expansion is scheduled for September 24, 2026. In addition to the DLC, Ubisoft confirmed that cross-play functionality will be implemented in November, allowing players across different platforms to play together. This update requires a partial reconstruction of the game’s online architecture and will include the migration of existing clans, with clan capacity increasing from 50 to 100 members.

Furthermore, the ‘Red Horizon’ season (Year 8, Season 3) launched on August 27, 2026, introducing new gear sets, seasonal manhunts, and content focused on the Cleaners faction in Washington D.C.
