Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have announced significant updates for the action-RPG The Division 2. A major upcoming premium expansion, titled ‘Echoes of Central Park’, will allow players to explore a 3.41-square-kilometer recreation of New York City’s Central Park. The expansion is expected to feature a darker, horror-inspired tone, centered around the park’s history as a mass burial site during the initial outbreak. A full reveal of the expansion is scheduled for September 24, 2026.

Additionally, Ubisoft confirmed that cross-play functionality will be implemented across all supported platforms in November 2026. Developers noted that the implementation required a partial reconstruction of the game’s online architecture. This update will also increase clan capacity from 50 to 100 members and involve the automatic migration of existing clans, though leaderboards will be reset.

Separately, the ‘Red Horizon’ season (Year 8, Season 3) launched on August 27, 2026, introducing new gear sets and content focused on the Cleaners faction in Washington D.C.
