MasterWhats website reactivated after legal withdrawal

The MasterWhats website has been reactivated following a decision by electoral judge Isaías Vinícius de Castro Simões of the Bahia Regional Electoral Court (TRE-BA). The platform, which operates within the RecomendeMe ecosystem, had been taken offline after a preliminary injunction was granted to the 'Mais Bahia, Mais Brasil' coalition.

The coalition, which includes political groups linked to the PT, had sought to block the domain, alleging it displayed fabricated dialogues involving Senator Jaques Wagner and former banker Daniel Vorcaro. However, the coalition formally withdrew its legal action, leading the judge to order the technical restoration of the site.

MasterWhats functions as a simulator of instant messaging interfaces, organizing dialogues extracted from various investigations, such as Operation Lava Jato and Operation Compliance Zero. The site features simulated or transcribed conversations involving several high-profile figures, including President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, former President Jair Bolsonaro, and former President Dilma Rousseff. The developer stated the platform aims to centralize conversations that have already been made public through official Federal Police inquiries and media reports.
