MasterWhats website taken down by judicial order

The website MasterWhats, which simulated a WhatsApp interface to display over 65,000 messages attributed to former banker Daniel Vorcaro, has been taken offline following a confidential judicial order. The site, which had recorded 1.5 million visits in 15 days, allowed users to browse conversations involving various public figures, including Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes, Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira, and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro.

The domain currently displays a status of “nic. br inactive court order”. The project was managed by software engineer Lucas Matheus and was inspired by a previous site called MasterZAP. Matheus stated on social media that the removal occurred without prior notice or notification from the requesting parties. He maintained that the project utilized only publicly available data. Matheus also noted that another unrelated website of his, RecomendeMe, was also taken offline.
