Matalascañas begins new phase of seaside promenade reconstruction

Matalascañas is entering a new phase of reconstruction for its seaside promenade. This upcoming stage aims to extend the work previously carried out to repair damage caused by severe winter storms by approximately 270 meters.

The project is currently in the administrative processing stage. The Junta de Andalucía has submitted the file for public information, which is a necessary step before issuing reports, obtaining authorizations, and opening the bidding process for contractors.

While the initial repairs to the most affected section were handled through emergency procedures to ensure immediate safety, this second phase must follow standard administrative protocols. The Almonte City Council is coordinating with relevant authorities to expedite the process and ensure the reconstruction meets technical and environmental standards to prevent future storm damage.
