Matamoros concludes “La Gran Fuerza de México” military exhibition

The “La Gran Fuerza de México” exhibition has concluded its run at the Matamoros Olympic Park, drawing more than 200,000 visitors during its stay. The event was part of the activities celebrating the Bicentennial of Matamoros.

The exhibition provided families with direct access to the equipment, tactical gear, and capabilities of the Mexican Army, the Mexican Air Force, and the National Guard. In addition to military displays, the event featured canine and equine demonstrations, as well as cultural activities and musical performances by military bands and mariachis.

During the closing ceremony, Matamoros Mayor Beto Granados and military officials, including Brigadier General Juan Carlos Hernández García, emphasized that the initiative aimed to strengthen the bond between the Armed Forces and the civilian population. As a commemorative gesture, a bench created by local artist Marco Antonio Martínez Sarabia was donated to the park. The exhibition is expected to continue its tour through Tamaulipas, with Tampico designated as its next destination.
