Municipal Leaders in Mexico Expand Scholarships and School Upgrades
In San Martín Texmelucan, municipal president Juan Manuel Alonso Ramírez presented 50 new scholarships to outstanding students of the Universidad Tecnológica de Huejotzingo, raising the total number of municipal scholarships to 150.
In Matamoros, mayor Beto Granados acted as godfather at the graduation of the ITACE cohort, praising the graduates and pledging continued municipal support for education.
In Chimalhuacán, mayor Xóchitl Flores Jiménez inaugurated infrastructure upgrades at three schools, including new sanitary modules, classrooms and a covered area, benefiting roughly 1,885 students.
In Papantla, mayor Gonzalo Flores Castellanos sponsored the graduation of students from four local schools in Joloapan, while in Tlapa de Comonfort, mayor Gilberto Solano Arreaga attended the closing ceremony of the Ignacio Allende preschool, reaffirming the municipality’s commitment to education.
Additional local initiatives included mayor “Chalo” Flores sponsoring students in Xochitepec and further municipal programs announced by Beto Granados, which also covered anti‑alcohol operations and community services.
