Mataram waste management facility to process 60 tons daily

The Indonesian Ministry of Public Works is constructing the Kebon Talo Integrated Waste Treatment Plant (TPST) in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. The facility, spanning 1.48 hectares, is designed to process 60 tons of waste per day to support urban waste management and the local tourism sector.

Following the closure of the Kebon Kongok Regional Landfill, the new facility will utilize automated sorting technology to separate organic, inorganic, and metal waste. It will also employ Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) technology to convert waste into alternative fuel. The project aims to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills and eventually transition toward converting waste into electricity.
