Matera hosts IgersMeet Nazionale 2026 for digital storytellers

The IgersMeet Nazionale 2026 has launched in Matera, bringing together 60 digital content creators and local managers from across Italy. Organized in collaboration with the Agenzia di Promozione Territoriale della Basilicata, the annual gathering of the IgersItalia community focuses on promoting regional territories through photography, storytelling, and participatory communication.

Running until October 4, the event features experiential tours designed to document and interpret the landscapes and heritage of Basilicata. The itinerary includes the Sassi of Matera, the ghost town of Craco, the monasteries of Montescaglioso, the Castle of Malconsiglio in Miglionico, and the villages of Grottole and Ferrandina. Participants will also highlight local culinary traditions, including olive oil and regional agricultural products, through various digital media formats.
