Mateusz Morawiecki launches Rozwój Plus political offensive

Mateusz Morawiecki, leader of the Rozwój Plus association, has announced a major political offensive aimed at the 2027 parliamentary elections. In a letter to members, the former Prime Minister criticized the current government led by Donald Tusk and expressed dissatisfaction with the current direction of the Law and Justice (PiS) party, claiming it has adopted the language and thinking of former Solidarna Polska members.

To build momentum, Morawiecki plans a marathon of nearly 400 meetings across Poland, from the Baltic to the Tatras, to gather public input for a future political program. The movement is actively recruiting local government officials; notably, Paweł Osiewała, the President of Sieradz, has officially joined the association. Morawiecki and Osiewała intend to collaborate on a specific program focused on the development and revitalization of medium-sized cities.

Rozwój Plus is positioning itself as a serious political alternative, emphasizing economic development, security, and strong national identity. The formation is also building its parliamentary presence, currently consisting of a group of 40 MPs.
