Mateusz Morawiecki denies advising Donald Tusk amid PiS split

Former prime minister Mateusz Morawiecki told TV Republika that he has never served as an adviser to former opposition leader Donald Tusk, rejecting claims that he once occupied that role. In the interview he blamed an internal group of “intriguers” for the growing split within the Law and Justice (PiS) party and said he has no plans to create a new political party.

PiS deputy leader Jacek Sasin responded on the social platform X, asserting he has never been a member of any party other than PiS and criticizing Morawiecki for characterising the party as “Solidarna Polska Jacka Sasina.” Sasin highlighted Morawiecki’s past association with Tusk, calling the former premier’s remarks an example of political intrigue within the party.
