Mateusz Morawiecki denies talks with Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz
Mateusz Morawiecki, leader of the Rozwój Plus association, has clarified that his group is not in discussions to recruit Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz. This follows the former Minister of Funds and Regional Policy's recent announcement that she is resigning from the government and her position as head of the Polska 2050 party.
During a conference in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, Morawiecki stated that while he agrees with Pełczyńska-Nałęcz's criticisms of the current government, the two are in very different positions on many issues. He emphasized that Rozwój Plus has specific priorities and, although open to cooperating with various environments across Poland, is not pursuing a partnership with the former minister.
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz's departure follows internal friction within Polska 2050, which recently decided to remove her from the party. The political shift follows a prior split in the party that led to the formation of the Centrum parliamentary club.
