Mateusz Morawiecki faces political uncertainty in Poland

Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is facing scrutiny regarding the long-term viability of his political group, Rozwój Plus. At a recent convention, Morawiecki asserted that a successful government for Poland cannot be formed without his formation.

However, public opinion remains divided. A SW Research poll conducted for Onet indicates that 34.8% of Poles believe the group will not survive in its current form until the 2027 parliamentary elections, while 27.9% believe it will. A significant portion of respondents, 37.4%, remained undecided.

Internal political tensions are also rising, with Law and Justice (PiS) Vice President Patryk Jaki criticizing Morawiecki and his associates. Jaki accused the group of being responsible for the decline in PiS popularity among right-wing voters, suggesting that those leaving the party to seek alternatives are instead contributing to the fragmentation of the conservative vote.
