Polish political polls show shifting majorities and Morawiecki's return ambitions
Recent political polling in Poland, including data from United Surveys by IBRiS and CBOS, indicates a shifting landscape for the 2027 parliamentary elections. Koalicja Obywatelska (KO) remains the leading party with approximately 25.8% to 27.3% support, but current projections suggest the ruling coalition, including Lewica, would lack a parliamentary majority, falling roughly 33 seats short of the required threshold.
Opposition parties are seeing significant movement. Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PiS) has shown signs of recovery, with support rising to approximately 20.6% in some polls, though CBOS reported a decline to 16.5% due to internal party tensions. Konfederacja has experienced notable growth, reaching 14.1% support. Grzegorz Braun's Konfederacja Korony Polskiej also remains a significant factor with around 8.4% support, potentially acting as a kingmaker for a right-wing majority.
Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has officially declared his ambition to serve as Prime Minister again. He is launching a new political initiative, Rozwój Plus, which currently polls between 3.6% and 6.5%—placing it near or just below the electoral threshold. Morawiecki stated that this new group aims to break political isolation and build coalition potential, noting he would welcome cooperation with Krzysztof Bosak of Konfederacja but explicitly ruled out working with Jacek Sasin.
