Mateusz Morawiecki's Rozwój Plus to launch new political party

The Rozwój Plus association, led by former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, is preparing to launch a new political party. A founding congress for the new formation is scheduled for October 17. According to MP Maria Koc, the organization is seeing increased membership, particularly among individuals in their 30s and 40s.

During a program speech at the National Local Government Congress in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Morawiecki outlined key objectives for the association, including the fair distribution of taxes, increasing funds for local governments, universal digitalization, and the depoliticization of local administration.

A central part of the proposal involves reforming the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) allocation. Morawiecki suggested a model where approximately 800 PLN would be allocated per resident across municipal, county, and provincial levels. This plan aims to address current inequalities where tax revenue often remains in cities where companies are registered rather than where the economic activity and residents are actually located.
