Paris holds funerals for Dior PR director Mathilde Favier and producer Nicolas Altmayer

Two separate funeral ceremonies were held in Paris on August 31 to honor Mathilde Favier, the public relations director for Dior, and her partner, film producer Nicolas Altmayer. The couple died on August 17 following a head-on collision with a truck in Airvault, France.

Favier’s service took place at the Saint-Sulpice church and was attended by numerous figures from the fashion and political worlds, including Claudia Schiffer, Carla Bruni, Brigitte Macron, and Delphine Arnault. Her ceremony featured a unique wicker coffin.

Altmayer’s service was held in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. His funeral was described as a more private affair, attended by prominent members of the French film industry such as Jean Dujardin, Gad Elmaleh, and Catherine Deneuve. The investigation into the fatal accident remains ongoing.
